Do you accommodate disabled customers?

 

I try to find ways to assist folks with handicaps.  Every situation is different.  Let’s start a conversation so we can determine, together, if this type of offering is feasible.

 

What type of transportation do you provide?

 

I have a Honda Odyssey van that seats up to 8.  However, it is more comfortable with 6.  It has a dvd player that is quite convenient for the long drives.  I have a nice selection of Frank Lloyd Wright themed videos.

 

Do you provide meals?

 

I’ll bring water and snacks.  Meals are a separate cost.  I’ll let you buy mine.

 

Do you pay for museum entries?

 

I have museum memberships that allow me to include a limited number of guests.  Each museum is different.  There is a possibility there will be an added entry fee or special exhibit fee.  We can discuss details via email.  I do, however, encourage folks to patronize the gift shops.  Let’s support our museums.

 

Do you do large group or bus tours?

 

I work as a tour director and as a step on guide for a variety of “tour operators”.  I do not write the itineraries or provide the vehicle(S) for large groups.

 

Do you do speaking engagements?  If so, how much do you charge?

 

Yes.  I’m especially fond of initiatives taken up by civic organization such as Rotary and Lion’s Clubs.  (Their founders are interred at Mount Hope cemetery here in Chicago)

I have presented at a variety of venues such as retirement homes, schools, and civic organizations.

I do not have a fixed price for presentations.  Ideally, I would receive a small stipend for travel expenses and book a tour or two.

 

Do I have to wear a mask?  

 

I will respect your choice regarding masks while traveling in vehicle.  If you prefer I wear one the entire time, then I will.  However, most of the venues we visit have some level of mask requirements.
